PICTURE THE PURPOSE
HOW WE
SEE THINGS
From where we sat, we noticed that non-profits were starting to look…odd. They were functioning like for-profit companies, concerned more with growing their presence in the non-profit sector than growing their impact. Simply put – many non-profits became “too big to fail”.
A pursuit that should be altruistic in nature with the ultimate goal of empowering the less fortunate, has become a competitive game of fundraising to support an insatiable non-profit machine. The focus has become less about earnest social change and more about padding the resumes of out-of-touch, middle-aged, upper-classmen soliciting seats on donor boards as a means to pat themselves on the back. The very essence of giving in today’s world has become bleak, very impersonal, and just plain corporate.
bluePrint is stepping up to the plate to take a shot at our version of change. We’re proposing an alternative to the current non-profit model that is tailored to the next generation and engages donors, beneficiaries and their community – moving away from a passive, siloed, and transactional version to one that is active, collaborative, locally empowering, and sustainable.

HOW THE NEXT GENERATION GIVES BACK

#DisruptingNonProfits
We tend to associate “disruption” with the technology sector – when innovation is first met with chaos and skepticism that eventually leads to advancement. bluePrint has taken the concept of disruption and tethered it to our non-profit business model. Currently, the tactics and strategies used by many non-profits are outdated, inadequate, and do not address social issues with a genuine intent to make lasting impact.
Essentially, our belief is that social – rather than technological – disruption is what’s needed in the nonprofit sector. In short, we’re changing it up completely…
HOW WE DO
THINGS
FOLLOW THE FLOW
When we began to draft the mission, it became very clear to us that everything we did had to be centered around the next generation. Since the foundation of the bluePrint model is rooted in community philanthropy, we developed a formula that expresses our approach:

INFLUENCERS
GRASS ROOTS
NON-PROFITS
COMMUNITY
Identify a hometown hero with a personal passion to impact his/her community through an existing grassroots non-profit
+
Work with a community non-profit to improve critical operational obstacles and build a success mindset around financial sustainability and self sufficiency
+
Mobilize the external base of municipalities, community leaders, and residents and direct their giving power towards the grassroots non-profit’s thriving initiative

THE
OUTCOME
BEHIND THE HUSTLE
As much as we center each project around empowering/advancing the next generation, we want to share our bluePrint with the next generation. Catalyzing community engagement is a multi-chapter journey - we understand and celebrate the power of capturing that raw truth through digital documentaries.
